SnackBrake ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the SnackBrake mobile application ("App").
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, first name, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
Health & Wellness Data: To provide personalized coaching, we collect data you voluntarily enter, including:
Usage Data: We collect anonymized usage analytics to improve the App, such as feature usage frequency and session duration.
Subscription Data: Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and managed by RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your payment card details.

SnackBrake uses AI (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to provide coaching and recommendations. When you interact with the AI coach, your conversation and relevant context (such as recent snack logs) are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic does not use your data to train their models. AI conversations are stored on our servers to enable saved chat history.
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers who help us operate the App:

Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers hosted in the United States. We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, encrypted database connections, and secure authentication tokens.
We retain your account data and snack logs for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

SnackBrake is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
SnackBrake offers auto-renewable subscriptions managed through Apple's App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
With your permission, we send push notifications for coaching reminders, hydration prompts, and pattern-based insights. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
